My tasks :I joined the project in July 2021 and worked until February 2023. I worked as a level designer for the duration of my contract.
As a level designer, I took part in the pre-production of an unannounced 3D game. This included the creation of game areas, from paper design to greyblocking, including the prototyping of some specific gameplay objects. I also took part in several research process for new game mechanics, and workshops to define themes and references for levels. One of those were Action Block, condensed game segments made from paper design to a playable prototype in five days. This allowed me to work with a team to conceive game areas, including other level designers but also game designers, programmers, as well as 3D and concept artists. I also gathered feedbacks from the entire team by doing video presentations of the levels, with gameplay and explanations. More details to come. |
